CORever: extending the lifespan of durable furniture

With its CORever second-life programme the premium brand is extending its commitment to protecting the environment and setting an example for more sustainability.

By implementing CORever – a returns system for used COR furniture – the East Westphalian seating furniture manufacturer is making an active contribution to reducing furniture waste and promoting a circular economy. Founded in 1954, the family-owned company is renowned for its high-quality and therefore durable German-made furniture. COR has also been committed to the principle of “a business founded on an ecological mindset” from that day forward, which is why it believes that available resources have intrinsic value. COR’s extensive product portfolio is complemented as a matter of course by services such as repairs and new or replacement covers. Now, it is taking that concept one step further by accepting back all end-of-life COR furniture products and refurbishing them for resale or dismantling them and disposing of each material type separately.

“We aim to raise awareness about the value-preserving use of furniture,” said Managing Partner Leo Lübke, commenting on the CORever concept. He continued, “We are a family-owned company that accepts its responsibility for the environment and the people who live in it. Part of that responsibility extends to our furniture products, which we view as cultural assets. With CORever, we can give them a longer useful life and a second home.”

When furniture items are returned via our retail partners the CORever team carefully checks what needs to be repaired, replaced or refurbished before the recycled furniture is resold.

This conscious use of our resources creates a sustainable way of life and living and offers a new target group access to affordable quality furniture. Every furniture item arriving at the COR factory has its own special character and a story to tell in a new setting.
